In the year 2006 the BKS Bank enters the Croatian banking market by acquiring Kvarner banka d.d. The bank was renamed as BKS Bank d.d. in 2008 and the first branch was opened in Zagreb. The headquarter is based in Rijeka and its emphasis was on the financing of small and middle sized enterprises for a long time. In 2010 the expansion of the product range for retail customers was successfully implemented and today, the BKS Bank d.d. is able to offer comprehensive universal financial services to both, corporate and retail customers. The BKS-leasing Croatia d.o.o. is responsible for the development of the Croatian market in the area of leasing-financing.
