- The BKS Bank has been around since 1922. The business model of the BKS Bank has always been geared towards long term stability and sustainability.
- We only make transaction that we can carry with our own strength.
- We have never taken part in transactions with subprime products; our business consists of transactions with customers. Risky trade and speculation have never a part of our business.
- We set strict criteria for investments in our own portfolio. Safe investments are more important than a high-return mentality.
- With approx. 3,9 billion Euros, we have especially high customer deposits with which we are able to refinance a large portion of our customer loans. This is also a reason why we have no liquidity issues.
- Within the framework of deposit protection, all deposits in accounts and savings books (e.g. checking and retirement accounts, all other current accounts, fixed term deposits or other capital investment savings books) are guaranteed. Moreover, BKS Bank stands behind them with its entire assets. Further, the council of Ministers decided on October 8, 2008 that the Republic of Austria shall guarantee the deposits of natural persons 100% until December 31, 2009.
- The BKS Bank is one of the most successful regional banks in Austria and has more than 54 branches in Austria and in foreign countries. The balance sheet total rose in the 3rd quarter 2008 by approx. 11,3 % to 6,4 billion Euros. The profit for the period after taxes amounts to 38,3 million Euros.
